Terms & Conditions of Business
These Terms & Conditions set out the basis on which AAT Sheds and Garages Ltd operates. We act as an agent for the supply and erection of garages and, where applicable, introduce customers to independent subcontractors for base and groundwork services. By placing an order or requesting work, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Our Role as Agent
1.1 We act solely as an introducing and quoting agent for the supply, delivery, and erection of garages.
1.2 All quotations we provide are based on information supplied by the relevant manufacturer or installer. We accept no responsibility for errors, omissions, or changes made by third parties.
1.3 We do not manufacture, supply, erect, or provide aftercare for any garage.
2. Manufacturer’s Contract & Warranty
2.1 Once a garage has been supplied and erected, all warranties, guarantees, after-sales services, and contractual responsibilities lie directly between you and the manufacturer or installer.
2.2 We do not provide, extend, or administer any warranty, nor do we accept liability for any defects or issues relating to the garage or its installation.
2.3 All queries, claims, or warranty requests must be made directly to the manufacturer.
3. Subcontracted Base and Groundwork Services
3.1 If you choose to use a subcontractor for base or groundwork services referred or recommended by us, the subcontractor is engaged directly by you, not by us.
3.2 Payment for base or groundwork services is made directly to the subcontractor. Upon payment, the contract is strictly between you and the subcontractor.
3.3 We do not supervise, manage, control, warrant, or accept liability for any work carried out by subcontractors.
3.4 Any issues, defects, or remedial work relating to base preparation must be resolved directly with the subcontractor.
4. Customer Responsibilities
4.1 You are responsible for ensuring that the proposed site for the garage is suitable, accessible, and prepared in accordance with the manufacturer’s or subcontractor’s specifications.
4.2 Any additional costs arising from inadequate site preparation, restricted access, or unforeseen ground conditions are your responsibility.
4.3 You must ensure all measurements, specifications, and requirements are correct before placing an order.
5. Limitation of Liability
5.1 As we act solely as an agent, we are not liable for:

defects, delays, errors, or omissions in the manufacture or erection of the garage;

the workmanship, quality, or performance of any subcontractor;

loss, damage, or costs arising from third-party actions or failures.
5.2 Our liability is limited strictly to the services we directly provide as an agent.
5.3 Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
6. Pricing & Payment
6.1 All prices quoted are provided on behalf of the manufacturer or subcontractor.
6.2 We reserve the right to correct any obvious pricing errors or omissions prior to the acceptance of an order.
6.3 Payments for garages and payments for base works are made separately, each to the appropriate provider as notified to you.
7. Cancellations and Changes
7.1 Any cancellations or alterations to garage orders are subject to the manufacturer’s cancellation policy.
7.2 Any cancellations or alterations to subcontracted base works must be agreed directly with the subcontractor.
7.3 We are not responsible for any fees, charges, or losses arising from cancellations or amendments.
8. Force Majeure
8.1 We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, supplier delays, transportation issues, or labour shortages.
9. Data Protection
9.1 We will use your personal data only to administer your enquiry and to communicate necessary information to the manufacturer or subcontractor.

10. Governing Law
10.1 These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
10.2 Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.
11. Acceptance
By placing an order, making a payment, or instructing us to proceed, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
